Jet2.com and its tour operator Jet2holidays will increase their planned offer to the Canary Islands by 100,000 places during winter season from October 2019 to March 2020, as reported by the English airline. These are extra seats, which have already been put up for sale, that will link the archipelago with the company’s nine bases in the United Kingdom Belfast, Birmingham, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle and London-Stansted.

Specifically, of these 100,000 seats, more than 50,000 will connect Belfast, Birmingham, East Midlands, Glasgow, Manchester, Newcastle and London-Stansted with the island of Tenerife.

Also, almost 40,000 places will be between Belfast, Birmingham, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle and Lanzarote; more than 10,000 from Birmingham, Manchester and Newcastle to Fuerteventura; and, finally, more than 5,000 seats between Birmingham, East Midlands and Manchester and the island of Gran Canaria.

In this regard, the CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, Steve Heapy, has commented that during the past week the airline has observed an increase in demand “unprecedented” and that they have reacted “fast” by adding more flights and vacation packages to the Canary Islands for this winter.
“Our customers still want to go on vacation and we want to make it as easy as possible with our excellent service, flexibility in dates and complete vacation packages,” he said.
