Spain is the most popular destination for Brits this summer according to a new report by TripAdvisor.
Coming top of the list was the Spanish island of Majorca, followed by Tenerife and Ibiza.
Greece and Portugal were also featured but New York was the only destination outside of Europe to make it to the top 10.

TripAdvisor ranked the most popular destinations according to booking interest on the site and looked at the cost of holidaying there from June 1, 2016 to August 31, 2016.
The average cost of the meals were fairly similar but the prices for hotels were wildly different.
New York, where the average price per night at a hotel is £219, is £157 more expensive than Corfu and Gran Canaria, which both have average room rates of £62 per night.
Six of the most popular destinations were in Spain with the average cost of a one-week break costing anywhere between £747 in Gran Canaria to £1,575 in Ibiza.

A week in New York, often considered one of the most expensive cities to visit in the world, costs on average about £400 more than Ibiza, the most expensive European destination on the list.
An average week in the US city costs £1,937 but if you travel the week beginning June 27, 2016, you could snap up a break for £1,779 – a saving of £158.

The islands of Crete and Corfu are where you’ll find the bargains if you’re planning to travel to one of the top 10 destinations during the peak season as the cheapest rates for these are just £654 and £665 per week respectively for the least expensive week.
